Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer or a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to work in the Chantilly, VA. We are a team of engineers and administrators working together to achieve our mission. Our team works with pride across the organization toward a common goal: global security. Responsibilities:
- Be able to provide support onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.
- Develop solutions for systems & networks that support mission critical and mission essential infrastructure.
- Analyze existing systems & networks and make proactive recommendations to drive change and create efficiencies.
- Willing to perform minimal break – fix tasks
- This position can be filled at either a level 4 or 5 based on the qualifications below.
Staff Cyber Systems Engineer
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 14 years System/Network Administration & Engineering experience of server infrastructures, a bachelor’s degree in an IT field; 12 years with a Master’s Degree; 9 years with a PhD Degree
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems
- Strong experience with VMWare & OpenStack Virtual Environments
- Experience with Infrastructure Re-Architecture Support
- Experience with Enterprise Security Assessment Support and A&A accreditation
Senior Cyber Systems Engineer
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 9 years System/Network Administration & Engineering experience of server infrastructures, a bachelor’s degree in an IT field; 7 years with a Master’s Degree; 4 years with a PhD Degree
- Strong experience with Windows and/or Linux Server Operating Systems
- Experience with Infrastructure Re-Architecture Support
- Experience with Enterprise Security Assessment Support and A&A accreditation
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA Certification
- Experience with Juniper Firewalls
- Knowledge of with Server Operating System MS 2019
- Knowledge of Power Shell and Basic commands
- Knowledge of MS patching process using WSUS
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Knowledge of RMF and A&A accreditation process
Salary Range: $146,300.00 - $219,500.00Salary Range 2: $181,400.00 - $272,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
