We are looking for a dynamic HR Specialist to support our Malaysia Sales Office, based in Shah Alam. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to the Territory Manager, Indochina, while managing day-to-day HR operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Malaysian labor regulations, recruitment, and employee relations. In addition, you will serve as a key point of contact for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment.

This position is offered on a one-year fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including full employee lifecycle such as onboarding, probation reviews, confirmations, and offboarding

  • Handle end-to-end recruitment activities

  • Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Ensure HR practices are aligned with business objectives and foster a positive work environment

  • Support workforce planning, employee engagement activities, and performance management processes

  • Track and analyze HR metrics and recommend best practices and solutions

  • Manage employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements

  • Support HR reporting, audits, and internal compliance activities

  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and recommend updates to policies as needed

  • Support HR initiatives and projects in line with business objectives

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Serve as a safety point of contact

  • Support workplace safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture

  • Facilitate hazard reporting and ensure incidents or safety concerns are properly documented and addressed

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and employment regulations

  • Exposure to EHS or workplace safety processes would be an advantage

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office
