Job Summary

The Training & Development Specialist will empower ZOLL's mission and vision through acting as the lead learning operations specialist. This role will require a strong technical understanding of learning technology as well as organizational and administrative skills related to learning and development. The Senior Training Coordinator will act as the local subject matter expert on training processes, tools, and best practices enabling centers of excellence around training and learning.

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning experiences that meet learner and organizational needs.
  • Develop and create content for various modalities (eLearning, onsite, virtual, on-demand, etc.) using industry best-practices and resources.
  • Facilitate training for new and existing employees, including new hire orientation and ad hoc requests.
  • Oversee training class enrollment and completion, class attendance, inventory of training materials, classroom set-up and break down.
  • Coordinate employee events and programs.
  • Maintain electronic training records for all personnel according to regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Act as lead systems administrator for learning management systems, content management systems.
  • Create and deliver reports on training compliance for management and training effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with other trainers throughout the organization and their departments.
  • Strong customer focus to effectively work with employees and managers from all departments.
  • Maintain information on company intranet (SharePoint) site.
  • Drive continuous improvement through projects that enhance the learning experience as well as provide value to the organization.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a training role including facilitating meetings and/or training sessions required.
  • Professional certification in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Learning Technology, Consulting Skills a plus.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong writing skills, detail-oriented, and focus on quality.
  • Strong and engaging communication skills, which includes the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization (from manufacturing and assembly to senior leaders) and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to accommodate various audience learning preferences and work with multiple modalities.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Preference for experience with Workday.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments while working on various projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment is required.
