Northrop Grumman is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a Fall 2026 co-op position. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Operations organization. The successful candidate should plan to work full time during the Fall semester (August - December 2026).
Essential Functions to include:
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Support manufacturing of composite structures
Resolve production issues in processes by working closely with manufacturing personnel
Support root cause and corrective action
Author, modify, and audit procedures
Be part of an Integrated Product Team
Basic Qualifications for a Co-op, Tooling Engineer
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be able to work onsite full time during the Fall semester (August 2026 to December 2026)
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Co-op Pay Range:
Bachelor’s: $17.00 to $31.25
Master’s: $24.50 to $38.50
