In this role you will manage APAC Markets BU Data Analytics & Insights activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the section’s mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures. 

You will be responsible for

Contributing to the design and implementation of the Department’s strategy and roadmap by providing function-specific inputs 

Establishing and implementing the Section’s operational plans in support of the Department’s overall strategic plan and KPIs 

Preparing the Research, Insights & Analytics Section annual budget and participate in the Department’s budgeting cycle and process

Utilizing and managing research, Insights & Analytics Section’s budget effectively, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered

Investigating and proposing implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for STA and mitigate financial and operational risks

Preparing research, data, and analytics plans to address business priorities and knowledge gaps, collaborating with TDI Department to align on methodology, budget, scope and delivery of research requirements
 
Identifying key primary, secondary, and tertiary data sources to collect required data and information for the purpose of analysis and collecting data for the APAC region
   
Checking internally and externally with contracted vendors to assess if required data has already been compiled and / or analyzed and leverage it to minimize rework in the APAC region
  
Collecting/ extracting and cleaning data as per research requirements for the A&E region, and working with data science and engineering to ensure it is structured appropriately for use
  
Recommending improvements to and utilize statistical/ machine learning/ AI data analytics models and generate insights in the APAC region
  
Collating research output and developing reports as per agreed formats
  
Preparing and publishing periodic and ad-hoc business analytics and insights reports on various topics that are of relevance to STA and to the APAC region  

Collecting stakeholder feedback on submitted reports and leveraging it to enhance future delivery for the APAC region   

Conducting game-changing analysis for differentiated insight and better, faster decisions to drive sustainable growth and achievement of strategic objectives 

Establishing cross-regional work programs, streams, and projects to collect the relevant data timeously (real-time if possible) and provide operational insights for optimization 

Regularly assessing the impact of barriers and the mitigation strategies with a clear indication of what is working optimally & suggestions for those that are not, based on data 

Implementing a program incorporating STA research and outside sources – analysis of data quality, ensuring that it is clean, reliable, and stored in the data warehouse 

Overseeing the development and implementation of a program of proactive research, audience insights, and market analysis to support strategic and service developments, ensuring alignment with STA priorities 

Collaborating with syndicated providers to develop effective and efficient delivery of data and services to local teams 

Engaging with HQ regional staff to provide an advisory role to the region and KSA 

Maximizing research vendor partner relationships to ensure innovatively, best practice approaches are consistently applied, and services are delivered at the highest level 

Developing a communication plan for key stakeholders with precise frequencies, content, and a feedback mechanism 

Monitoring and reporting on sales and distribution of various products in the respective markets 

Propose improvements to the Research, Insights & Analytics Section’s policies and ensure the implementation of procedures and controls across all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results 

Monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures 

Stimulating subordinates and contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost reduction, and productivity improvement 

Managing, guiding, and assisting direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures 

Participating in identifying and recruiting key talent for Research, Insights & Analytics Section 

Promoting a high-performance working environment embracing STA’s values 

Building and maintaining solid relations with external stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve STA’s best interest 

Providing assistance across the organization and supporting peers when needed to perform their duties 

Approving reports and presentations related to Research, Insights & Analytics Section activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making 

Performing other activities as and when required

You will need

Not less than 8 years of experience in research and insights or other relevant field 

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Analytics or equivalent is preferred

جمع / استخراج وتنظيف البيانات وفقًا لمتطلبات البحث، والعمل مع علوم البيانات والهندسة لضمان هيكلتها بشكل مناسب للاستخدام

اقتراح تحسينات على واستخدام نماذج تحليل البيانات الإحصائية / التعلم الآلي / الذكاء الاصطناعي و توليد الرؤى لسوق آسيا والمحيط الهادي

جمع مخرجات البحث وتطوير التقارير وفقًا للتنسيقات المتفق عليها

إعداد ونشر تقارير تحليلات الأعمال والرؤى الدورية والدوائية حول مواضيع مختلفة ذات الصلة

جمع ملاحظات أصحاب المصلحة على التقارير المقدمة والاستفادة منها لتحسين التسليم المستقبلي

إجراء تحليلات متغيرة للوصول إلى رؤى متميزة واتخاذ قرارات أفضل وأسرع لدفع النمو المستدام وتحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية

الإشراف على تطوير وتنفيذ برنامج من البحث الاستباقي، ورؤى الجمهور، وتحليل السوق لدعم التطورات الاستراتيجية والخدمات، وضمان التوافق مع أولويات الهيئة

التعاون مع مقدمي الخدمات لتطوير تسليم فعال للبيانات والخدمات

تنظيم المهام وتنفيذ السياسات والعمليات والإجراءات والنماذج والأدوات

تحديد فرص التحسين المستمر للعمليات والممارسات مع مراعاة الممارسات الرائدة

تصعيد المشكلات لضمان إغلاق القضية / المشكلة بكفاءة وفي الوقت المناسب

دعم الزملاء في جميع أنحاء المنظمة عند الحاجة لأداء واجباتهم

متطلبات الوظيفة

خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات في مجال البحث والرؤى أو أي مجال آخر ذي صلة

يفضل الحصول على درجة البكالوريوس في إدارة الأعمال أو تحليلات الأعمال أو ما يعادلها
