Northgate Animal Hospital a multi-doctor, small animal hospital, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

This position is flexible and is open to part-time scheduling.

Who we’re looking for?

Northgate Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time/ part time veterinary assistant to join our collaborative hospital team. To uphold our positive hospital culture and ensure new team members nicely with our close-knit team, we’re looking for highly skilled technicians who prioritize teamwork, are easygoing and detail-oriented, and have a well-rounded technical skill set.

Our ideal team member should have the following skill sets to work well with our team:

  • Experience with animal restraint, animal care, animal handling

  • Experience with working with licensed DVMs on the floor

  • Exceptional work ethic and dedication to high quality work

  • Vaccine and medication administration

  • Assistance with cleaning exam rooms, restocking exam rooms, turning exam rooms

  • Pharmacy duties, lab work, charting and documentation

  • Client communication and education

  • Checking Clients in/out, going over and obtaining patient medical histories

  • Managing a multi-line phone system

  • Assisting with registered veterinary technicians

  • Assisting throughout the hospital as needed (front desk, kennels, cleaning, etc.)

Northgate Animal Hospital is located in Dayton, Ohio. They are located only a short drive to nearby cities of Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio for major sports venues, world class museums and the arts.

Schedule:

  • 12-18 hours per week (Part -time) Additional working hours may be available to pick up.

  • 6 hour shifts

  • Wednesday, Thursday and some Fridays

  • No weekend Workdays
