Description:

For the Physical Security System support Technician we will need an IT Physical Security Systems Specialist responsible for the management and technical support of the access control, Elopement, Infant Protection, visitor Management systems as well as the video surveillance and alarm systems here at NYP. 

The position is an IT technical support position reporting to the IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical support of the Physical Security Systems software, hardware and Network requirements.  They will be responsible for coordinating with the Infrastructure teams, server team, Networking Team and Information  Security team when changes, modifications or upgrades, roll out of new systems are to be performed as well as troubleshooting and resolving daily production issues reported by the users to IT.   Detailed Knowledge and understanding of servers and network infrastructure communications is a must. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) and must have at a minimum 5 years experience supporting and troubleshooting and resolving issues with the following systems from the IT perspective:  Premisys, Passage Point, Indenticard, Widsx, Livescan/Biometrics, Galaxy, CCURE, Accutech Cuddles, Genetec. and BMS Systems as well as other building management systems.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other best practices certification
  • Expert Knowledge of PMBOK

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field
  • At least 5 years of work related or Project Manager experience
  • PMP Certification or equivalent
  • Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Visio
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and implement projects as well as interact effectively with applications in complex problem situations
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills

Salary Range:

$119,000-$195,500/Annual
