Job Summary
The Red Hat Trusted Artifact Signer (RHTAS) team is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Ireland, who is passionate about software supply chain security and has experience with Go programming. In this role, you will join a talented group of software engineers and contributors from around the globe, working on product development and making upstream contributions to the Sigstore ecosystem. You will be instrumental in improving the overall quality of our Kubernetes-based software product by working with senior engineers on new features, addressing existing defects, and expanding, automating, and streamlining our build and release pipeline. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a meaningful participant in Red Hat software product development, delve into Red Hat’s business, and immerse yourself in our open source culture.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Contribute code in the Go programming language to a collection of several software services designed to be used in our customer’s secure software supply chains
Participate in team meetings and activities such as agile sprint planning, release retrospectives, and weekly standups.
Work on production build pipelines, tests and policy compliance
Participate in the upstream Sigstore community
Collaborate with other engineers as needed
Desired Skills
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) tooling and processes
Familiarity with Kubernetes and software containerization
Experience with Go programming and Git SCM
Ability to work with a globally distributed team of engineers, managers and other team members
Prior experience in open source software projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
