Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt (SS10)

If you want to be at the forefront of change and have a passion for coaching teams to succeed, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Quality Strategy team in Resource Industries Operations & Products Division. This job involves taking strategic quality initiatives and putting them into action across global value chains. You’ll be involved with leading continuous improvement projects across the globe, starting with the customer back perspective and ensuring quality throughout the value chain.     

What You Will Do:

  • Coach and train global teams on Built in Quality and other Lean tools
  • Lead Lean continuous improvement projects that impact global processes
  • Innovate on key process indicators drive desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with facility and enterprise experts to deliver sustainable Lean processes
  • Be the Lean expert

Education Requirement
Requires an engineering degree

  • Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams, etc. to disclose meaningful data patterns

  • Regularly presents ideas or suggestions to teams in persuasive terms to gain their buy-in

Problem Solving

  • Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify process flow problems
  • Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information
  • Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decisions on resolution
     

Six Sigma Methodology

  • Identifies process problems that limit performance including critical workflow for process execution
  • Implements methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes
  • Uses tools (e.g. trend charts, Pareto charts, sigma conversion chart) to measure historical performance
  • Researches causes impacting quality and customer satisfaction with the use of root cause identification tools

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Rayong, Thailand.  Other locations include Batam, Indonesia or Thiruvallur, India.

This position requires 50-75% travel supporting global facilities
