Job Summary:

​Provides general carpentry and painting to maintain, repair and renovate the physical structure. Provides basic HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to efficiently operate facilities and equipment. Tests, monitors and operates equipment/chemicals for water supply. Removes snow using various types of equipment. Provides assistance to maintain grounds, as required.

Job Duties:

Work is typically performed in a warehouse/maintenance or office environment; may require performance of work within clinical areas. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to reach above head, bend, push, pull, stoop and kneel. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Join our Facilities team as a Maintenance Mechanic I and put your hands‑on skills to work supporting repairs, renovations, and essential building systems at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

From repairs to snow removal to building system support, this role is essential to creating a safe and dependable environment for patients and staff.

Education:
