Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and ordering parts as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all parts are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Properly store and label parts in designated locations within the facility to facilitate easy retrieval and inventory management.
  • Assist technicians and other team members in locating and retrieving parts needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including issuing parts to technicians, processing returns, and updating inventory systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability information, negotiate pricing when necessary, and ensure timely delivery of parts orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, including technicians and other staff members, by promptly addressing inquiries and fulfilling parts requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts storage area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and inventory management guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in automotive parts management preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a parts clerk or similar role within a maintenance facility or automotive dealership is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately track and manage inventory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and vendors.
  • Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and familiarity with parts catalogs and ordering systems is a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.
