The Business & Corporate Communications Sr Coordinator is a professional who integrates subject matter and industry expertise within for a limited number of professional disciplinary area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires basic understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness and ability to break down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of a defined area.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with duties to design, develop and deliver comprehensive, effective and engaging communications in support of campaigns to align with key messaging
  • Assist with developing, coordinating and executing internal communications across a variety of channels including web content, articles, presentations, town halls, meeting, events, etc.
  • Prepare and distribute internal or external announcements
  • Maintain group distribution lists for various communication needs
  • Coordinate and implement ongoing maintenance of intranet site, e.g., refresh content, answer questions from online forums, work with intranet liaisons
  • Assist with business projects and events
  • Assist with budget reconciliation
  • Play key role in the day-to-day functioning of the Communications group including and responding to colleague requests
  • Assist in monitoring social media conversation, coordinate internal review of new social media projects and help with content creation and engagement activities
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency


 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of communications and 2-5 years of experience
  • Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to perform their tasks
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Critical competencies include oral communication, written communication, project management, relationship building, results orientation and strategic orientation

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing or another related field
