Job Summary
The Senior Business Product Owner is responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. This role partners closely with engineering teams to deliver high-value features and works across global stakeholders to drive product vision and execution.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on product leader who balances strategic thinking with execution, ensures customer problems are solved effectively, and drives continuous value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and maintain a single, prioritized product backlog aligned with business goals.
• Ensure clarity of features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with global teams, including design, engineering, merchandising, marketing, architects and business stakeholders, to align priorities and translate the requirements into well-defined features.
• Communicate product vision and roadmap across teams.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of features while maintaining quality, usability and scalability.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning and review sessions with agile teams.
• Monitor sprint progress, resolve blockers, and validate deliverables against the Definition of Done.
• Build alignment with key stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Track product performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Make data informed decisions using customer feedback, usage analytics and business metrics.
• Identify risks, dependencies and trade offs and proactively drive resolution.
• Continuously improving product processes and ways of working.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in product management or ownership roles with significant eCommerce exposure.
• Proven experience owning backlogs for B2C or B2B eCommerce platforms.
• Strong business acumen in eCommerce space.
• Strong business analysis and decision-making skills for prioritization.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Technical acumen to engage with engineering teams on technical topics and trade-offs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong team collaboration skills and growth mindset.
• Ability to translate business problems into clear product requirements.
• Experience working with customer facing or platform products.
• Experience in tools like Azure dev ops, Aha and Figma.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with headless commerce or modern commerce architecture.
• Proven track record of delivering complex products across global teams.
• Experience in Saas, enterprise or large-scale digital products.
• Background in customer experience, platform modernization or transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to data driven product development and experimentation.
• Experience working in Scrum @ Scale projects.
• Experience in Google Analytics Tracking and Reporting.
