Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Data Integration Engineer to join Caterpillar IT’s Enterprise Data Services team, responsible for delivering finance data integration architecture, and Profitability Analysis Toolkit (PAT) and Enterprise Data Warehouse services across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in IBM DataStage, Teradata SQL/BTEQ, and SnapLogic for developing and maintaining ETL and data pipelines, along with proficiency in tools such as Qlik, EDI, MFT, DataPower, and Tidal. The engineer will support full project lifecycle development, apply scalable software design principles, and review technical documentation. They will mentor a team of designers, collaborate with financial, and PAT principal teams, and serve as a subject matter expert in EDW financial closing processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness. Operating in a complex, distributed data environment, this role plays a critical part in transforming large-scale data into actionable insights for enterprise-wide decision-making.
What You Will Do:
Provides solutions for IT and business management on applying technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
Responsibilities
Provide consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results.
Analyze, define and document client's requirements, and revise existing systems’ logic challenges, as necessary.
Monitor client experience and feedback on the use of business applications; enhance system productivity, as needed.
Participate in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
What You Have:
3+ years experience in ETL integration tools such as IBM DataStage and/or SnapLogic
3+ years experience in SQL, TeraData/BTEQ tools,
Working knowledge of or exposure to Qlik, EDI, MFT, DataPower, Tidal, Snowflake
Experience in developing business process flows and data flow diagrams.
Experience conducting functional testing and coordinating UAT
Experience working with SAP ERP systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering
Proven history as a technical lead and mentor to other IT analysts
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Domain knowledge in Accounting and Finance

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $204,720.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
