The Supervisor, Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our revenue cycle team. The ideal candidate will manage a group of revenue cycle specialists, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of patient accounts, coding, billing, and collections. This position plays a key role in optimizing the revenue cycle process, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Supervise and Lead Team:

• Lead and manage a team of revenue cycle professionals, including billing, coding, and collections staff.

• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.

• Monitor workloads and ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.

Revenue Cycle Oversight:

• Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration and insurance verification to coding, billing, and collections.

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and payer requirements.

• Review and resolve discrepancies in billing, coding, and payments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve revenue cycle processes for greater efficiency.

• Work with the team to implement best practices and ensure high-quality work.

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for revenue cycle operations.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate reports related to the revenue cycle, including key performance indicators (KPIs), aged accounts, denial rates, and collection performance.

• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between the revenue cycle team and other departments (e.g., finance, clinical, and operations).

• Work closely with insurance payers to resolve issues related to claims, denials, and underpayments.

• Ensure timely follow-up with patients on outstanding balances, providing customer service and addressing concerns.

Compliance and Training:

• Ensure the team is up to date on the latest coding standards, payer requirements, and compliance regulations.

• Conduct regular training sessions to maintain a high level of expertise within the team.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure that all processes comply with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare billing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role required.

• Experience with billing software, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and practice management systems required.

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and payer policies required.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance required.

• Prior experience with payer audits, denials, and appeals management required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools preferred.
• Experience with Athena EHR preferred

Schedule/Compensation Details:

• Employment Status: Full time (1.0 FTE)

• Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

• Hours of work: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Days worked: Monday to Friday
