Position Overview: 

Brunswick Product Protection Corporation (BPPC) is seeking a Claims Administrator to be an integral part of the claims function. This position is responsible for using proprietary technology to process claim requests received by our dealer network and correspond with service centers/customers regarding service and repair of marine related components per BPPC’s terms and conditions.

Essential Functions: 

  • Participate in the effective and accurate adjudication of claims presented by BPPC’s dealer network. 

  • Make accurate claim determinations based on terms and conditions governing program benefits. 

  • Follow established guidelines on when to escalate situations to the Claims Manager. 

  • Keep current knowledge of various boat, engine, and component warranties of various manufacturers. 

  • Maintain a high degree of customer service acumen and work in concert with sales team to support core business and new business development. 

  • Maintain effective communication with BPPC dealers, service advisors, customers, and team members. 

  • Provides quality customer service, maintain Best in Class service levels, and ensures file quality. 

  • Proactively make suggestions to management to maintain the integrity of our programs for long-term sustainable profitability and protection of the reserve pool as market conditions change. 

  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the business community, Brunswick Corporation, or any of its subsidiaries. 

  • Participate in sales and service support activities as needed. Attend dealer meetings, VIP events and boat shows to promote the business. (Limited) 

  • Develop a deep understanding of our plans including plan term and conditions. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of BPPC’s operating systems. 

  • Other duties assigned by management. 

 

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. 

  • Marine industry technical experience strongly preferred. 

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training. 

  • Prior warranty or financial service business experience desired. Ability to interpret an extended warranty contract a plus. 

  • Ability to read and navigate an Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) 

  • Excellent communication and organizations skills 

 

Working Conditions 

  • Role is fully remote 

  • Initial training would be in person at Mettawa, IL Corp Office 

 

The anticipated pay range for this position is $44,900- $67,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
