How you will create an impact

As the Claims Account manager, you will be the primary Claims contact for assigned large complex national, unbundled AIG Risk Management (AIGRM) accounts and be responsible for the day-to-day servicing issues for primary AIG-handled accounts, and responsible for complex service agreements, claims coordination activities, and issue resolution in servicing accounts to differentiate AIG as a market of choice.  In this critical role, you will get exposure to all lines of business and have the ability to make a real impact by being fully integrated with underwriting and distribution partners and being an integral part of the sales process.

  • Acting as chief liaison between AIG Claims and insured, broker, TPA, and AIG partners including UW, Distribution/Client Directors, TPA Governance and other support units to ensure excellent claims delivery by AIG across all lines of business.  Serve as primary point of contact and responsible for assigned accounts to ensure that claims services are delivered timely and with a high level of quality and that claims interactions meet service requirements
  • Working with account, broker, underwriter and claims for onboarding renewal meetings and Special Account Instructions including compliance.
  • Negotiating and establishing special account claims instructions, monitoring service delivery, participating in the underwriting account management process, including post-binding meetings, mid-term stewardship meetings, and pre-renewal meetings. Leading onboarding, coordination of account set-up, ensuring compliance with AIG claims handling guidelines and account instructions.
  • Driving and participating in TPA (or AIG Claims) file reviews and stewardships including monitoring of performance. Monitor large losses (TPA handled) for potential relationship friction and coordinate resolution of claims and claims service disputes.
  • Participating in presentations to new business prospects.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Significant Casualty Insurance experience in claims, underwriting, or TPA account management with strong technical knowledge of primary Auto Liability, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation claims. 
  • Experience in high-severity claims and complex coverage matters. Knowledge of large risk management insurance programs.
  • Proven ability, in the absence of direct authority, to resolve issues with multiple stakeholders through influence and relationship management.
  • Strong presentation and project management skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and problem solve.
