The role is based at our site in Denmark but supporting FDB globally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • External Data Acquisition and Integration: Lead efforts in automating, acquiring, validating, and integrating external market data into the organization’s data infrastructure. Ensure data is seamlessly ingested and made accessible for relevant teams. Develop processes to monitor the quality and timeliness of incoming market data feeds. 
  • Data Domain Development: Establish and manage a dedicated data domain for external market data, including the design and implementation of data models, pipelines, and storage solutions. Ensure scalability and alignment with the broader data architecture while keeping in mind business needs. 
  • Data Governance and Compliance: Develop and enforce governance policies specific to external market data, including data usage, quality standards, access control, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Document policies and ensure adherence to both company and industry standards. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including data science, analytics, and strategy teams, to understand their market data needs and support data-driven decision-making. Act as a key point of contact for all external market data requirements within the organization. 
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques in data engineering and external data integration. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve data accessibility, performance, and scalability. Drive initiatives to innovate and optimize the external market data domain. 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, in engineering or IT is preferred.
  • 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence & Insights or similar working with data engineering, data infrastructure, automation/visualization of data. 
  • Significant experience in the business intelligence, business analytics, or IT. These requirements could be met through a variety of education and experience, providing an equivalent background. ​
  • Preferred: additional certifications relevant to the role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

This role will assist the Global Business Intelligence and Insights team in defining methodologies and infrastructure for complex modelling and automation tasks, as well providing key business insights to executive stakeholders to drive decision-making.
