COMPENSATION

Hourly Minimum - Maximum

$24.00 - $27.00

Flower Shop Representatives are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to client families. This position performs clerical work, provides customer service, and conducts the sale of flowers in the flower shop. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING  

  • Sell flowers over the counter, answer phones, take orders over the phone or in person. 

  • Assist customers that walk in to the flower shop and ring in all sales and balance cash register daily. 

  • Make flower sale presentations to client families as part of the funeral arrangement process. 

  • Deliver flower arrangements to visitation rooms, chapels and churches if needed. 

  • Assist Senior Flower Shop Representative in preparing all flower shop reports. 

  • Assist Supervisors with correspondence. This includes complaints and inquiries regarding our Flower Placement Services.  

  • Accept Forest Lawn account payments, receipt contracts for payments to Memorial Counselors and Advance Cemetery Planning. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Previous experience in a customer service position. 

  • High school diploma/General education degree (GED). 

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills. 

  • Type 35 wpm and be PC literate; basic knowledge of Word and Excel. 

  • Must be able to handle difficult situations with minimal supervision. 

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays. 

  • Valid California Driver’s License. 

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.  

  • Must be able to work on-site.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bilingual Spanish. 

  • Previous experience in a flower shop/cashier/sales position.

DRUG TESTING POLICY

Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
