About the team and the role:

With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Authentication Operations team moves fast and is full of passion. In less than four years, this team has launched authentication for watches, handbags, sneakers, trading cards, jewelry, and apparel across the US, CA, AU, UK, DE, and JP. We are a group of diverse and outstanding teammates who form a complete business unit. We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader to lead success at our new Louisville, Kentucky facility.

Joining the Global Facility Operations team, you will report directly to the Site Leader of our Louisville, KY facility. You will hold primary responsibility for leading all shipping, receiving, and storage operations at your facility. You will also be in charge of safety, budget control, people management, employee development, and operational objectives for your team. Additional responsibilities include supervising and directing hourly staff. You will coach and mentor the team to consistently meet performance standards. You will recognize gaps in processes and outcomes and work toward closing them. Promoting positive employee relations and building leadership strength within the team. You will engage regularly with internal and external collaborators to ensure alignment with eBay principles and business goals.

Schedule: 5pm-1:30am (Monday - Friday) + 5% shift differential

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead a team of up to 40 hourly associates to deliver outstanding results in Safety, Quality, Customer Experience, Employee Engagement, Employee Development, and Cost.

  • Lead quality and performance efforts, process improvement initiatives, and other Lean projects to help your team achieve and surpass business goals.

  • Establish and communicate requirements and expectations for your team. Recognize and offer training opportunities, assess performance, give feedback, and ensure team members are responsible for their performance.

  • Leverage your team by sourcing and championing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for your area. Validate those changes as effective and financially beneficial.

  • Take proactive steps to ensure that standards are followed and champion eBay DNA principles.

  • Use data-based metrics for capacity planning and team staffing to proactively plan for changes that could impact team performance or customer experience.

  • React and respond expertly to all inquiries coming from inside and outside the building. Support employees’ ability to bring up concerns without retaliation or retribution.

  • Communicate expertly with employees, leadership, and business partners regardless of circumstances.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or relevant professional experience) or higher from an accredited university. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Sustained track record of leading operational improvements.

  • Advocate for, and builder of, robust safety, quality, and employee engagement culture.

  • Champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Strong analytical skills and a consistent track record to work independently and influence others.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$71,600 - $123,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
