Your Job:

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support and positively impact clinical performance through coordinating and completing chart abstraction and reporting of clinical data. The Stroke Registry Site Coordinator oversees and complete clinical registry functions including data collection, reporting, analysis, and submission. Ensure data transparency through ongoing communication and provide regular reports to key stakeholders including facility physicians, department leaders, and clinical staff.

Your Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered nurse preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively to department leaders, physicians, and clinical staff
• Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications (such as excel)
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement from clinical data
• Detail oriented and demonstrated time management skill
• Experience navigating patient medical records and demonstrated understanding of clinical data
• Experience with and knowledge of clinical processes and content related to neuro-interventions, procedures and pathophysiology is desired
• Prior experience with clinical chart review and abstraction is preferred
• Relevant healthcare experience is required 

Your Job Responsibilities:

• Act as direct liaison between registry and the end users of registry data
• Act as the primary point-of-contact for all administrative tasks relating to the customer website, including but not limited to creating/disabling user accounts and ensuring that the Site Profile is always up-to-date.
• Coordinate with care providers and department leaders to proactively review data discrepancies and ensure data accuracy prior to submission deadlines
• Develop and maintain general policies, standard operating procedures and quality assurance processes for data abstraction, data analysis, data submission and data reporting -
• Discharge follow-up phone calls
• Ensure comprehensive and timely completion of case abstractions while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Facilitate and coordinate registry vendor relations
• Integrated member of the process improvement stroke team
• Organize regular communication of results and initiatives via newsletters, memos, emails, etc.
• Participate in registry/ database conference calls and webinar training to remain well informed and knowledgeable regarding industry changes
• Prepare for and manage registry site audits
• Prepare training as necessary to assist with quality data collection and data interpretation
• Respond to all requests for registry information and data to include: Clinical interpretation of data; Data submission process; Data quality and cleaning; Comparative Institutional Report interpretation; Use of outcome reports for quality measurement and improvement
• Responsible for managing caseloads and data reporting according to established standards and deadlines
• Work with physician and department leadership, communicating improvement opportunities identified while abstracting and upon analyzing patient outcomes
