In this role, you will be responsible for the Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A) function to our International Trading group and oversee capital leases requirements for Supply, Trading and Optimization (ST&O).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experiences in Finance Planning & Analysis

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or other relevant education

  • Financial Designation (CPA, CFA) or MBA

  • Proven analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information into meaningful insights

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-based environment to deliver results

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) functions to our ST&O’s International Crude Trading team, including the coordination of monthly performance stewardship

  • Conduct monthly price realization analysis to highlight winnings and opportunities on crude cargoes activities

  • Provide inventory stewardship and forecast on crude cargos  

  • Main gatekeeper for ST&O's capital leases and commitments process

  • Coordinate ST&O’s capital leases requirements in the annual business planning process

  • Main contact between the ST&O and other Finance Functions (Investors’ Relation, Fixed Asset Accounting, Exploration and Productions Assets’ BP&A Team, etc.)

  • Support ad-hoc projects requested by BP&A and Trading organization

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
