The Capital Markets Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Capital Market, Liquidity Risk Management and regulatory impact including but not restricted - LCR, FR 2052a, RLAP, etc.

  • Proficiency in creating, clarifying, and updating Business requirement, Functional specification documents.

  • Excellent liaison, communication (verbal and written), conflict resolution, change management, document and report writing skills.

  • Strong understanding of liquidity risk management and reporting, enabling the individual to understand complex and interconnected business requirements so to play a role in the ongoing management & coordination of execution plans.

  • Demonstrable and comprehensive experience in stakeholder management involving stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Manage and collaborate with users to review User Acceptance Testing outcome and successfully obtain sign off.

  • Experience working in ETL Projects, with multiple upstream and downstream systems defining the mapping requirement for implementation.

  • Aptitude to understand technology architecture and work with various partners for configuring strategically aligned solutions.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Tableau and Python.

  • Known-how of SQL is must to understand data mapping across source and target systems.

  • Understanding of data governance, reference data, and data capabilities needed for a robust data program in support of business objectives.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.

  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement change.

Must have skills:

  • Working knowledge of Capital Markets, Banking Risk and Stress Testing

  • SQL - Advanced

  • MS Excel, Visio, Word- Advanced

  • Tableau- Intermediate

  • Data Analysis - Advanced

Nice to have skills:

  • Python

  • Big Data, Hadoop

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
