Our Engineer II is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to collaboratively design solutions to complex problems. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.  The ideal candidate has the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and manage large projects to deliver network services. 

This role is remote first but you need to be willing and able to come into one of offices located on the posting at times

 

Position Responsibilities  

As an Engineer II, you will: 

·        Support, operate, and maintain large scale, critical Network environment, platforms, and services 

·        Triage, analyze, and perform root cause analysis for network-related issues 

·        Provide 24x7 after hours on-call support and support for off-hour implementations 

·        Leverage enterprise network management platforms and practices to run large-scale deployments efficiently and effectively 

·        Understand and promote network standards, reference architectures, and frameworks 

·        Work directly with external partners 

 

Qualifications 

·        Experience with Enterprise networking 

·        Understanding of secure network designs and security compliance requirements 

·        Experience with Network technologies vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Zscaler and Palo Alto 

·        Experience with Network security and wireless platforms 

·        Understanding of DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture and Azure DevOps Operational Framework   

·        Programming experience with at least one programming language such as GO, Java, C++, Python or C# including object-oriented design 

·        Experience with network performance, capacity, configuration, and fault management 

·        Experience in Change management 

·        Strong problem-solving ability    

·        Strong oral and written communication skills   

·        Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment 

·        One or more of the following certifications are highly desired: 

o   Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) 

o   Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 

o   CompTIA Network+ 

 

Experience 

·        2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in a large-scale network environment  

·        ​2+ years of experience with architecture and design   

·        ​2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service   

·        ​2+ years of experience in open source frameworks​  

 

Education 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Annual Salary

$66,000.00 - $157,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
