Role purpose

The key purpose of the Regional Digital Marketing Specialist is to work with the Head of Brand & Marketing, National Marketing and state teams to drive the Vicinity digital strategy by developing engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages. You will contribute to the development and delivery of Vicinity’s digital and social media marketing strategy to ensure that the organisation is sufficiently and appropriately represented across all digital channels.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Ensure a level of customisation of digital and social content which drives local community engagement, activations and partnerships
• Coordination of state based social requirements, including account management
• Coordination of state based digital requirements, including updating centre websites, creating and scheduling EDMs
• Audit and analysis of state based social and digital presence, including driving acquisition, retention and commercial targets.
• Analysis of social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement
• Work with Brand Experience Executives and other departments to develop social media timelines coinciding with new product releases, ad campaigns, or other brand messages
• Monitor and develop reports on competitor/ industry activity within social media spaces
• Protect Vicinity from unwanted exposure to the authorities and the customer from inappropriate and unsolicited communication

What will you bring?

You will be an experienced social and digital marketing professional with competency in modern, results driven marketing. You will have significant experience in the development and management of compelling campaigns, from inception through to implementation and post-campaign review. You are familiar with directing and implementing SEO/SEM initiatives to drive traffic across Vicinity’s digital platforms. You will bring a strategic mindset with the ability to guide and influence in a complex environment, drive the agenda and educate stakeholders across the business on the implementation of strategic social and digital media activity to drive results all with an understanding of the local competitive landscape and key customer insights.

This will require:

  • Degree in Marketing or Social Media preferred

  • Experience in digital and social legalities, restrictions and policies

  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms and Web Proficiency

  • Copy-writing, content creation, public relations and brand marketing experience

  • Proofreading and editing skills

  • Interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Experience and a passion for the retail and/or the shopping centre marketing industry

  • Proven performance to drive value and commercial results.

  • Strong organisational, compliance and time management skills

  • Ability to work as a part of a team and develop/ maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders
