Job Summary

    The Specialist I, Accounts Payable maintains accurate payment information by auditing high-volume expenses, performing data entry, handling expense reports, check matching, and answering vendor and customer questions to enable efficient payments and financial reporting.

    Please note this is a temporary position.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Audits and approves daily and monthly business expenses.
    • Reviews and codes all Accounts Receivable refund checks.
    • Researches ledger issues and potential errors by investigating relevant processes and systems (i.e. Great Plains).
    • Makes security deposit collection calls to external vendors.
    • Prepares monthly reconciliation accounts.
    • Reconciles and matches checks in order to ensure accurate records.
    • Responds to payment inquiries with internal customers promptly to educate them on the process and resolve issues.

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • High School Diploma/GED plus 2-5 years of work experience

      Additional Experience

      • Experience in the accounting field

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate

        $18.25 - $21.50 Hourly

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
