Course: Fundamentals of Advertising

This course introduces the fundamentals of the advertising industry including basic elements of campaign strategy and design. Students learn the foundational communication and writing skills necessary to create effective campaigns. Contemporary legal and ethical issues in advertising are also addressed.

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

• Minimum: Bachelors in Advertising or Bachelors in Graphic Design or Bachelors in Visual Communication or related area.
• Preferred: Masters in Advertising or Masters in Graphic Design or Masters in Visual Communication or related area.
• All instructors must have 3-5 years experience in the industry AND
  • Knowledge of advertising theories or design principles and production methods or and advertising campaign development..
