Position Highlights:

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider, Pulmonary/Thoracic Surgery, Medical Group
  • Location: Evanston Hospital
  • Full Time : 1.0 FTE split between Pulmonary and Thoracic
  • Hours: 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday
  • Required Travel: Occasional travel to other sites may be required

What you will need:

  • License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN or PA-C) in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education: Completion of Master's level program in specialty area
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
  • Experience: Prior APP experience preferred; experience in pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, or critical care highly desirable

What you will do:

  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments for patients with indeterminate lung nodules and early stage lung cancer.
  • Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities
  • Work both autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience by improving access and expediting care
  • Partner with interventional pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons to provide care to patients with pulmonary nodules/masses, as well as follow up for those undergoing cancer surveillance.
