Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer

As a Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer, you will perform various analyses, design, and/or assembly related to manufacturing engineering projects. You will play a critical role in the successful introduction of new products in our manufacturing process. With a deep understanding of engineering principles and project management, you will collaborate with design engineering through cross-functional teams in coordinating the release of new products on-time, within budget, and meeting all quality standards. You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. You will estimate manufacturing costs and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Your role will include analyzing quality indicators to determine root cause and maintaining records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations and to continually improve future product launches.

Your Challenge:

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance
  • Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct process validation and qualification activities
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing teams
  • Develop and maintain documentation for new products and processes
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on product designs
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Support cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
  • Ensure proper handover of new products to production teams
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product reliability
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, or Operations or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product introduction or process engineering
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with process validation and qualifications
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency with LEAN Management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and proficient with MS Office tools 
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications 
  • Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical assembly principles 
  • Experience with MES systems for tracking and monitoring performance of the production environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project related responsibilities
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
