Job Description

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Process Analyst to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee consultant staff on customer engagement delivery and quality matters while performing a variety of complex tasks that require both practical experience and state-of-the-art theoretical knowledge in the assigned specialty area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of complex tasks related to process analysis and improvement, leveraging both practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops and meetings, engaging stakeholders to identify pain points and collaboratively develop solutions.
  • Lead the execution of tasks within customer engagements, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather process information and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and document process workflows, procedures, and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices in process management and implementation strategies.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on task execution and process improvement methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in process analysis or management.
  • Proven experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) and improving processes to enhance project management efficiency, governance, and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience overseeing consulting staff and managing client engagements.
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in federal contracting, particularly with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement frameworks.

Eligibility:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The proposed salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000.
