Founded in 1971, the Clinical Pastoral Education Program (CPE) at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Department of Chaplaincy Services is fully accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) - the ACPE is nationally recognized as an accrediting agency in the field of clinical pastoral education by the U.S. Secretary of Education through the U.S. Department of Education. Clinical Pastoral Education is interfaith professional education that helps students to learn and improve their ministry and pastoral skills. Our program provides multi-faith ministry in a manner that is sensitive and respectful to different cultures, religious practices, and belief systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
