Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) team is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst – Experienced/Lead (Level 3) or Senior/Lead (Level 4) to join our team supporting national defense priorities in Ogden, Utah

This Financial Analyst will:

  • Be the primary interface with SDS financial leadership
  • Have the opportunity to work within the SDS Program and the BDS Finance Organization
  • Provide financial and cost management analysis, preparing information for briefings to all levels of Finance and Program leadership

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with financial leadership to develop/broaden technical skills of the financial team
  • Maintains Earned Value Management and quarterly Estimate at Complete oversight
  • Develops and leads training topics on pertinent financial acumen to enhance program knowledge
  • Works with finance leadership across Boeing Strategic Missile and Defense Systems businesses to capture siloed efficiencies and deploys those best practices across the portfolio
  • Review and partners with senior leadership to analyze, and maintain cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines
  • Partners with members of the Finance team, Scheduling, Multi-Disciplined Team (MDT) Leaders, and Control Account Managers and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Maintains oversight of monthly financial reporting with senior leadership
  • Leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance and projections using extensive financial knowledge and experience
  • Leads analysis and presents business cases using appropriate indices to maximize profitability and shareholder value

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field
  • 3+ years or experience in a finance related position including but not limited to: Financial Operations, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning
  • 3+ years of experience performing Estimates at Completion (EAC)
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team or a project
  • 3+ years of experience in using advanced features in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, and Power Point
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Interfacing with senior management or program management

Typical Education & Experience: 

Experienced/Lead (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior/Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for Experienced/Lead (Level 3): $99,450 - $134,550

Summary pay range for Senior/Lead (Level 4): $119,000 - $161,000
