Job Summary

Mass General Brigham International (MGBI) represents a systemwide initiative to provide leading clinical care to patients, advisory services, and Transformational Partnerships to our customers from around the world. This exciting business initiative combines a broad set of existing capabilities with a new focus on integration. With significant investment in this program, MGBI plans to enhance patient and customer experience by developing and improving services for destination patients and driving broad-based business growth.

Mass General Brigham International Advisory partners with governments, health systems, and healthcare organizations around the world to design and implement strategic, clinical, and operational transformation initiatives. Delivering this work requires coordination across multidisciplinary consulting teams, clinical subject matter experts, business development, finance, legal, and executive leadership. To ensure efficient execution and enable continued growth, the Advisory practice requires a dedicated administrative and operational manager to establish scalable business operations, oversee HR and resource management, standardize processes, and provide the operational infrastructure necessary to support high-quality client delivery and organizational performance.

The ideal candidate has progressively responsible experience managing business operations within a consulting, healthcare, or other professional services environment. They have successfully established operational infrastructure, implemented scalable processes, managed complex project portfolios, and partnered with executive leadership to improve organizational performance. Candidates should demonstrate experience balancing strategic planning with operational execution while working across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.


 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field of study required

  • Master's Degree in a related field of study preferred

  • Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of degree


Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in administrative or operational management in a healthcare or clinical setting required

  • 3+ years of experience supervising staff required

  • 3+ years of experience managing budgets preferred or experience and familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare 3+ years preferred

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership for day-to-day administrative and operational functions, including staff management, scheduling, office operations, and resource planning

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and workflows that promote efficiency and operational excellence

  • Partner with clinical and executive leadership to support strategic planning, organizational goals, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure responsible stewardship of resources

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments and multidisciplinary teams

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies

  • Lead onboarding, training, mentoring, and professional development efforts for administrative staff

  • Drive operational improvement projects focused on employee engagement, service excellence, and organizational effectiveness

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and operational metrics to support data-driven decision making

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and administrative systems to manage workflows, reporting, scheduling, and operational performance.

  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and documentation best practices.

  • Skilled in developing efficient processes, implementing operational improvements, and supporting organizational change initiatives.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to inform decision-making and improve performance.

Hybrid Working Model Requirements

  • M-F Eastern business hours.

  • Monday and Tuesday onsite at Assembly Row in Somerville, MA

  • No international travel is expected or required

  • Remote work requires stable, secure, quiet, compliant workstation using MGB provided equipment
