Job purpose:

• ​Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Account Manager is a strategic position responsible for delivering the annual budgeted Revenue, DM and DM% targets

• The role will require to develop customer relationships across all touch points and growing our ‘moat’ through new category expansion in all existing customers

• Carry out ‘voice of the customer’ surveys across all touch points and deliver innovative customer solutions in response to defining the customer’s needs analysis

• The Account Manager responsibilities will include understanding and capturing all market trends and competitor intel including developing a compelling response that protects Eden UK position in the customer and market to promote a best in class organisation
 

Main duties and responsibilites:
• Responsible and accountable for developing and executing strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the company’s strategy and expectations
• Accountable for delivering the new business strategy in existing customers, negotiations and commercial contracts in line with budgeted revenue and DM targets
• Identify, develop and convert NPD opportunities and grow market share, working alongside Creative Design supported by a targeted plan that reflects Eden UK’s overall strategy, position in the market place and competitive drivers
• Manage all working capital (DM, aged debt, stock level forecasts, obsolete/slow moving stock) to ensure that our cash flow is not impacted
• Develop and manage a robust qualified pipeline of new business opportunities through the implementation and management of an effective CRM system to ensure target values and conversion rates are achieved
• Through understanding customers challenges and pressures, develop smart solutions that meet their needs and can be delivered to successfully add value to their organisation
• Network effectively within customers to develop relationships and business opportunities, through securing meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers
• Write and deliver high quality pitches and tender responses to clearly articulate the Eden UK value proposition ensuring successful outcomes and increased conversion rates
• Perform the role of “Bid Manager” on all opportunities that have been pre-qualified, acting as the voice of the customer back into the business, communicating clearly their requirements and expectations, identifying and mitigating potential risks both internally and to the customer in order to meet internal and external deadlines
• Execute a seamless handover to the Project Management team at the point of a secured order thus ensuring that a seamless customer on-boarding experience is achieved, passing over the day to day management of the ongoing customer relationship and project delivery, sharing knowledge and expertise with the Project Management team to enable them to identify and maximise the ongoing business available
• Provide robust, detailed and accurate forecasts (revenue and margin) in line with reporting timetable that are realistic and can withstand scrutiny and challenge
• Work closely with all internal departments and colleagues to build strong, collaborative relationships and a team work approach to ensure voice of the customer and customer experience is clearly understood and delivered
• Working with the Commercial Manager, develop and share market intelligence and competitor knowledge to enable the company to secure maximum profit as a result of informed, intelligent tendering
• Continually develop in partnership with internal departments the company’s offering to the marketplace in order that market share and competitive position is grown
• Adhere to the business process at all stages of the opportunity cycle
• Demonstrate understanding of, and buy-in to, Eden UK’s Vision, Mission and Values by exemplifying the core competencies and behaviours at the appropriate level
