What will your job look like?

The Enterprise Data Steward will be responsible for implementing and managing enterprise‑wide data stewardship practices, ensuring the consistent application of data governance standards across metadata, quality, lineage, lifecycle, security, and compliance facets. The Enterprise Data Steward will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to operationalize policies, establish/maintain trusted data assets, and drive data‑driven decision‑making.

What you’ll do:

  • Enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures across assigned enterprise data domains

  • Create and manage knowledge bases, including maintaining metadata, data dictionaries, business glossaries, data taxonomies/ontologies, and data lineage across systems to enhance transparency and trust

  • Track data quality rules and KPIs

  • Conduct audits and remediate data issues

  • Support the review and understanding of all client data obligations

  • Act as a project manager in assigned data domain

  • Maintain data classification/privacy rules and enforce security access controls

  • Become subject‑matter expert on assigned data domains; collaborate with data owners, plus business and technical data stewards, to execute governance activities, leveraging influence and relationship-building rather than formal authority

  • Support data integration, migration, and master data management initiatives

  • Assist in data governance training, data literacy efforts, and stakeholder engagement

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA, PII) and organizational data policies

  • Partner with IT, compliance, product, analytics, and leadership to resolve data-related issues collaboratively and drive continuous improvements

  • Participate in Data Governance meetings, such as councils, committees or center of excellences

  • Manage governance tasks, including planning, prioritization, and execution of deliverables

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Analytics, or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years of experience in data analytics or data management

  • Minimum 6 months experience in MTM operational areas

  • Experience using Power BI for creating reports/dashboards

  • Proficient in SQL and/or advanced Excel

Skills:

  • Capable of data profiling to understand data source content, structure, and quality

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge business and technical needs

  • Proven ability to influence without authority

  • Strong project management skills, including planning and execution of governance tasks

  • Inquisitive with analytical mindset; active listener with strong problem-solving and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Knowledge of data governance concepts, strongly preferred

  • Strong analytical background required; governance experience not required, training provided

Even better if you have:

  • Experience with Agile project management, AI, Business Intelligence, and statistical/data mining

  • techniques, strongly preferred

Salary Min: $83,000

Salary Max: $115,000

This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data. Ranges may vary based on the job's location. We offer competitive pay that varies based on individual skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
