GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Loan Capital Markets Solutions team operates within Debt Capital Markets and assists deal teams in the successful completion of new and existing financings. The LCM Solutions Analyst I works closely with the DCM Originations and Agency Services teams to ensure smooth and successful legal and financial closing and funding of new transactions, amendments, and waivers.

This role performs a wide range of analytical, closing, and transaction due diligence functions in support of the execution of capital markets financing solutions across loan products.  The qualified candidate will function in roles that include project management, execution, and operational excellence while working closely with all capital market teams, industry verticals, middle market, and large-corporate teams.  Requires highly skilled analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.  Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist deal teams and partner with internal and external clients to support closing of capital markets transactions
  • Perform due diligence and assist in Know Your Customer process for new and existing clients and counterparties to ensure compliance
  • Manage multiple, competing priorities while working on a number of high priority transactions simultaneously
  • Gain familiarity with legal documentation involved in underwriting leveraged and investment grade transactions (commitment letters, fee letters, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, merger agreements, indentures, etc.)
  • Act as a liaison between Originations teams and Agency Services teams to drive operational excellence and determine best practices in closing complex transactions
  • Assist in support of the loan trading desk in secondary trading transactions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers within Debt Capital Markets as well as other internal and external clients of Solutions
  • Prepare and distribute secondary trading reports, reconciliations, and provide commentary and analysis to internal departments and senior management
  • Gain exposure to the full spectrum of capital market solutions and how they apply to specific client situations and changing market conditions
  • Ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings
  • Communicate effectively with deal team members on status and prioritization of projects
  • Develop proficiency in multiple relevant systems used by the team, including SyndTrak, Wall Street Office, Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, and others
  • Perform additional duties as required

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree with strong financial or business background and minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Undergraduate level financial and managerial accounting course work preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in corporate finance, deal execution, and financial markets
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and Series 63 license required (within 6 months of employment)
