What You Will Do:

Responsibilities include supporting stakeholder engagement specialists and community engagement specialists by developing engagement plans, stakeholder maps, amplification plans, fact sheets, infographics, and stakeholder assessments, as well as supporting community engagement activities and events such as community briefings, open houses, and webinars.

 

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting federal energy clients with engagement strategic plans and activities for carbon dioxide removal (carbon capture and direct air capture) programs

  • Stakeholder and community engagement including support for developing engagement content, supporting workshops and other events, supporting outreach efforts, and tracking engagement

  • Providing detailed research and analysis on clean energy-related activities, including conducting market research and analyzing market trends

  • Preparing reports, presentations, and deliverables documents for clients


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field AND one to seven (1-7) years of directly related working experience excluding internships, co-ops, and fellowships

  • Experience with carbon dioxide removal projects, such as carbon capture and storage (CCS/CCUS) and direct air capture (DAC), non-profit organizations, and energy sector organizations

  • Stakeholder and/or community engagement experience with clean energy technologies

  • Experience building and/or executing engagement plans

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% or as needed

  • Must currently reside in the USA

  • Due to nature of client engagement, must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described

  • This role is a Hybrid role which will require you to go into the Arlington, VA, Guidehouse Office (or client office in DC) up to three (3) days a week or on occasion


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline

  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Energy programs

  • Proactive and independent work style

  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles of the Arlington, VA,  Guidehouse Office
