Summary
Finance expert, recognized as thought leader in Tax. Recommends global tax strategies to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxes. Forecasts effective tax rates, monitors tax reporting and compliance as well as and due diligence activities. Leads large-scale and complex tax research projects and advises the executives on tax strategies.

Job Description

• Designs and leads the implementation of optimal global tax strategies to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxes.
• Develops reports and forecasts of effective tax rates to determine the amount of tax expenditure.
• Oversees tax reporting and compliance to ensure accurate and timely reports and conformance to tax regulations.
• Monitors complex tax audits and ensures earnings, expenditures and investments are reported accurately and completely.
• Monitors tax due diligence activities for potential acquisitions.
• Controls direct and / or indirect tax compliance, accounting and reporting, and / or transfer pricing to minimize the burden of taxation on profits.
• Leads large-scale, and complex tax research projects, researches developments in complex tax issues and / or law changes and advises executives on tax strategies.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires expert knowledge of multiple work areas obtained through advanced education, combined with experience
• Expert knowledge of market and able to identify best practice and how to best utilize within Carrier
• University Degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience
• Or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years experience
