The Crown Is Yours

We're looking for a 2D Game Artist to join our Game Studio team. In this role, you’ll be part of a team committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional iGaming and revolutionizing the industry one game at a time. You will work with other artists, animators, and game designers to bring our game concepts to life. You will have the ability to take concepts and build 2D assets, applying your skills to our current art styles to advance our artistic vision of each game.

What you’ll do as a 2D Game Artist

  • Work closely with the Art Director and Lead Artist to create assets that aesthetically represent each game's artistic vision.

  • Follow style documents for various games and build 2D assets that fit within and expand upon the established visual direction.

  • Add final paint-over polish to 3D renders to enhance color, lighting, and details.

  • Create color studies, callout sheets, lighting passes, set dressing, detail sketches, and drawings.

  • Collaborate with relevant disciplines to ensure that all design requirements, content prioritization, and deadlines are met.

  • Promote art best practices at both a project and studio level.

  • Actively participate in discussions and creative brainstorms at a feature level.

  • Provide constructive feedback on art, driving the advancement of the quality bar set for future game art production.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong composition skills with a deep understanding of perspective, color theory, and general composition to create high-quality environment artwork, balancing contrast, hierarchy, and mood effectively.

  • At least 3 years of experience working on 2D art for games or animation, demonstrated through a strong portfolio showcasing mechanical designs, props, environments, and characters.

  • Solid foundation in art skills including human/animal anatomy, industrial design, and a strong sense of material surfaces, with experience in 3D programs and possibly motion graphics, storyboarding, or Unity.

  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently, with a strong preference for collaboration.

  • A deep passion for video games and creative experiences, with a keen awareness of current illustration and design trends.

  • A portfolio that not only demonstrates your work but also provides insight into your creative process and ability to produce high-quality visuals.
