Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator specializing in Personal Identity Verification (PIV) systems. In this role, you will:
- Administer and support PIV systems to ensure their smooth and secure operation.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of PIV credentials, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
- Maintain the security and integrity of PIV-related data and systems, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Work with teams to integrate PIV systems with various security systems and provide technical support for PIV-related issues and challenges.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations, servers, and web servers to support business processing needs.
- Perform software installations and upgrades for operating systems and layered software packages.
- Schedule and manage these processes in line with IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor and tune system performance to achieve optimal levels.
- Ensure data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
- Implement and manage a schedule for system backups and database archiving to ensure data and media recoverability.
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures.
- Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of hardware and software configurations and supporting documentation.
This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a polygraph.
This position is on-site with our customer in Washington, DC. After the initial phase of on-site support, there is potential for remote work, subject to customer approval.
