In this role, you will design and lead a Business Value Assessment and Realization program to evaluate and communicate the value delivered to Suncor's business units and functions by Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) initiatives within the digital investment portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:         

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Six years experience in IT, change management, learning, marketing, or a related field

  • Ability to work on a variety of projects at once and identify priorities to ensure work is completed within stipulated timeframes

  • Excellent communication and project-management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical matters into easy-to-understand, business language.

  • Understanding of project lifecycles, budgeting process and financials

  • Ability to work with and manage business stakeholders, helping to guide and influence decisions that are aligned to business strategy

  • Working knowledge in SAP Project Systems, advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills

  • Strong sense of ownership, with demonstrated interpersonal, facilitation and problem-solving skills

  • Innovative, ability to challenge the status quo and adapt to changing situations

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of a Business Value Assessment and Realization program to measure and report on the business value being delivered to Suncor's business units and functions

  • Support the Digital Portfolio Management process, including assessing and prioritizing digital investment opportunities

  • Build a deep understanding of D&IT's digital investment portfolio to provide insights into initiatives that drive the highest business value opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to develop, maintain and distribute business value reports to support business engagement activities

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
