The Work: 

• Provides check out scheduling services for all office appointments, assists in scheduling diagnostic testing, manages schedule for physicians and advanced practice providers, proactively reviews aligned providers schedule to ensure accuracy and to ensure they are filled to capacity, maintains aligned providers recall list ensuring patients are scheduled, ensure appropriate documentation is noted in EMR when contacting patients for appointments, triages and responds to scheduling referral requests within 24 hours, verifies and obtains patient demographic and insurance information, transcribes orders into EMR, manages EMR tasks, emails and portal scheduling requests, maintains high customer service expectations by being courteous and helpful, answering live calls, handling complaints and troubleshooting problems, understands and strives to meet or exceed department metrics, displays a high level of professionalism, assists with call center scheduling as well as registration.  

• Answers the telephone
• Communicates messages through email or Epic  
• Greets, registers, and schedules patient appointments  
• Collects patient copayments  
• Makes appointment reminder calls  
• Verifies insurance and other patient data is accurate  
• Scans and/or uploads patient information to patients electronic chart
