We are looking for a Maintenance Lead to work within the BDUK Vertical Lift Operations Team in the delivery of Chinook Maintenance and Modification upgrades at Odiham. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a key role which provides accountability and management of the Chinook maintenance events. This is enabled by having control, oversight and supervision of a multidiscipline team of maintenance staff to carry out the day-to-day oversight of the maintenance events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Is capable of providing direction to their team/s, in order to maintain a scheduled plan, the sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on time completion, to budget and to the required standard Chinook all MK’s Q-course.
  • Possesses strong leadership and communications skills.
  • Is highly experienced in scheduled maintenance and repair in aerospace environment.
  • Has previous Chinook experience (essential).
  • Is capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP’s), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary.
  • Has demonstrable and proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
  • Has knowledge of aircraft maintenance and processes applicable to the aviation environment (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH).
  • Has proficient computer skills, use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Is an effective leader displaying appropriate behaviours including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Work Authorisation: This position does not have sponsorship approval. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which the Government requires UK Citizenship.
