Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join the Health & Wellness Compliance team to support the growth and development of Walmart’s Vision business.  The Director, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, Health & Wellness - Vision is a critical thought-leadership role that will be responsible for design, implementation and execution of all foundational elements of our compliance program supporting the Vision business.  In this role, you will collaborate with the Vice President - Vision, partners in the Vision business, and partners in the Pharmacy line of business, as well as other members of the compliance team.

  • You’re a subject matter expert in Vision compliance, especially billing for optometry goods and services, as well as healthcare compliance. 

  • You have extensive experience with implementation and execution of compliance functions in large, complex and matrixed organizations. 

  • You have demonstrated your ability to influence across a complex organization and team structure to implement policies and/or controls while also holding team members accountable to act on those.

  • You’re process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

  • You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment.

  • You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You’re stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Enhancing the compliance program foundation – Execute and enhance foundational compliance program processes and controls for the Vision business consistent with published guidance from regulatory and enforcement bodies (notably the Department of Justice and Office of Inspector general of Health & Human Services), collaborating with other stakeholders and functional areas and integrating into existing structures and processes where appropriate.

  • Establishing a roadmap for future enhancement – Identify short- and long-term compliance program initiatives, demonstrating the ability to prioritize immediate needs and plan for ongoing monitoring, enhancement and evolution of the program over time.

  • Building effective relationships – Establish relationships with key stakeholders and effectively integrate with the compliance teams and the Vision business to ensure programs are tailored to the needs of the team and the business.

  • Supporting enterprise and team success – Facilitate timely identification of compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to enable successful implementation of team and business initiatives. 

  • Operating with excellence – Identify KPIs and KRIs that measure and monitor team performance and potential risk areas.  Set an example in managing to KPIs/KRIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
