Job Description

The Lead Customer Data Intelligence Analyst serves as a strategic partner within the Customer Experience group, leveraging advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data governance to optimize customer engagement and operational performance. This role combines technical expertise with strategic insight to deliver actionable intelligence, influence decision-making, and drive innovation across the organization. The position leads complex projects, interprets business challenges, and recommends best practices to enhance data-driven outcomes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and privacy standards.

  • Establishes and maintains enterprise-wide data governance by implementing best practices for data architecture, integration, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and internal standards.  

  • Delivers actionable business intelligence by designing and maintaining dynamic dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization platforms to communicate KPIs and performance trends to stakeholders.  

  • Drives advanced analytics initiatives by developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast customer behavior, identify risks, and inform strategic decisions.  

  • Uncovers actionable insights by conducting complex statistical analyses and interpreting large datasets to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.  

  • Ensures high-quality data outputs for planning and compliance by managing data integration processes across multiple platforms and resolving cross-system conflicts.  

  • Supports regulatory compliance and achieving statutory targets by preparing and delivering accurate data and reporting deliverables for energy efficiency programs.  

  • Enables cross-functional alignment by collaborating with IT, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Regulatory Affairs to integrate analytics into program design and customer engagement strategies.  

  • Represents the organization externally by serving as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and regulatory entities to align deliverables and expectations.  

  • Builds team capability and fostering innovation by leading complex projects, mentoring junior analysts, and developing competency frameworks for advanced analytics skills.  

  • Drives adoption of new analytics tools and platforms by executing structured change management strategies and measuring ROI to ensure sustained impact.  

  • Performs other projects or special assignments as required.

  • Required Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities 

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Data Science, Economics, or related fields 

    • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or project management capacity.  

    • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and relational databases; experience with Python/R, DAX, and Power Query.  

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in predictive modeling and statistical analysis.  

    • Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills; ability to present insights persuasively to executives and non-technical audiences.  

    • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders to adopt data-driven solutions.  

    • Working knowledge of energy efficiency programs, EM&V processes, and regulatory environments.  

    • Familiarity with data privacy laws and ethical considerations in AI-driven analytics. 

    Preferred Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities 

    • Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Analytics, Economics, Public Policy, MBA).  

    • Experience in a program or analytics leadership role within the natural gas or regulated utility sector.  

    • Proficiency with AI/ML platforms, cloud-based data ecosystems (Azure, AWS), and data governance frameworks.  

    • Experience in organizational change management and talent development.  

    • Knowledge of behavioral analytics and customer journey optimization strategies. 

    We offer a competitive salary range of $114,700 to $166,450 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
