Job Summary
Responsible for monitoring multiple medium to large-scale project activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among team members to ensure the successful execution of projects. Tracks and ensures that the schedule, budget, and details of project tasks are well-organized. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates to the project team. Identifies and escalates issues and risks and recommends solutions. Leads and provides guidance and support to other administrative team members.

Reporting to the Facilities Operations Managers (FOMs), the Research Facilities
Operations Coordinator plays a critical, high-impact role supporting both Facilities and Laboratory Operations at the Ragon Institute. This position serves as a central hub of information and coordination, ensuring continuity of operations in a complex, fast-paced research environment.
This role combines administrative excellence, operational coordination, and data-driven analysis. The coordinator is responsible for managing key systems and databases, translating operational data into actionable insights, enabling efficient operations, strengthening visibility into key systems, and supporting strategic decision-making for both the Facilities and Laboratory Operations teams. They are a “go-to”-person, acting as a central hub of information for these teams.
Working closely with the Director of Laboratory Operations, the Coordinator supports equipment lifecycle management, space planning initiatives, and operational analytics, helping optimize resource allocation and long-term planning. This position requires a highly organized, analytical, and proactive individual who can manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong service-oriented mindset supporting the Institute’s mission to advance cutting-edge research.
