Xylem Switzerland (Heusser) is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (m/f/d) who will be integral to the financial forecasting and strategy of the company in the segment of Water Infrastructure. Your duties will include conducting detailed financial analyses, participating in budgeting and forecasting, and providing insights that will inform strategic decisions. You’ll work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and contribute to long-term financial planning. Overall, the role is to be a trusted advisor to business leaders & key stakeholders in the Switzerland region in providing financial support to help them drive business performance & achieve business goals, supporting business decision making through a combination of analytical insights, strategic acumen, and commercial-mindedness.

Fluency in English and German is required. French as additional language is a plus.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support preparation of weekly outlook, budgets, preparing financial forecasts, and tracking actual performance against target.
  • Preparing regular and ad-hoc financial reports to provide visibility to drivers of business performance, highlighting key trends and business insights.
  • Analyzing deviations from budgets and forecasts and identify root causes and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Building financial models to evaluate different scenarios and support business decision-making.
  • Collaborating with business unit leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making on projects, investments, and operational issues.
  • Working with business leaders to track KPIs and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Assist in the process of Identifying and assessing financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with the various finance back-office functions (e.g. Central Reporting Hub, Accounting & Compliance, Treasury, Credit & Collections, Tax, Internal Audit, etc) to provide support regulatory & reporting activities.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Qualified Accountant and/or Business Degree required, MBA highly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis function
  • Previous Controlling experience will be an advantage
  • Experience within a high growth environment essential
  • Experience in business systems implementation
  • Exposure in control and financial matters within a manufacturing environment and month-end closing, an advantage
  • Ability to transform extensive data into insights & narrative via a Business Intelligence tool
  • Very good communication skills, especially the ability to conduct & lead discussions with senior business leaders
  • Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP exposure an advantage
  • Language requirements: Fluency in English and German is required. French is a strong advantage.
