Responsibilities
The Hourly Project Assistant II will provide support for healthcare facilities to improve reporting involuntary psychiatric hospitalizations in NYS that have been significantly impacted by the COVID Pandemic. The incumbent will conduct outreach to these facilities to enable improved reporting procedures related to data quality, timeliness and completeness after the turnover of healthcare workforce during the COVID pandemic. The Hourly Project Assistant II will work with facilities to improve their quality assurance/quality control.
This work helps to establish and train the public health workforce to respond to the impacts of COVID pandemic on involuntary psychiatric hospitalizations in NYS.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate or Graduate Student enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Data analysis experience including use of Microsoft Excel, SAS, Python or R. Experience with SQL coding. Experience with relational databases.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded, hourly position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
