GSK is a global biopharma company focused on vaccines and medicines that prevent and treat disease. The Dresden site is part of GSK’s vaccine network and supports production for millions of doses each year. The site is implementing decarbonization and digitalization initiatives to improve efficiency and sustainability.

In this role, you will help build a Digital Twin for selected systems at the Dresden site. The objective is to create a digital representation of selected systems that provide real-time visibility of operational data — for example, monitoring room conditions such as temperature, humidity, and differential pressure — and to use these insights to enhance energy efficiency and overall performance. You will work with Engineering and Operations to model data in AVEVA PI (formerly OSIsoft PI), create dashboards, and define key performance indicators (KPI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Fundamentals: Identify key operational data for the systems and compile it in a clear, structured way.
  • Modeling: Model data and context in AVEVA PI (e.g., PI Asset Framework tag/asset structure)
  • Visualization: Build user-friendly views for live monitoring (e.g., trends and a compact dashboard in AVEVA PI).
  • Contextual Analysis: Relate internal values to external conditions to determine actual needs (e.g. humidification).
  • KPIs: Define a few clear metrics that make system performance quickly assessable.
  • Optimization: Suggest meaningful settings and test them on a small scale.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or ongoing studies in a technical field such as Energy Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Heating and Ventilation Technology, or similar. Equivalent practical experience is also welcome.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office for data handling and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with different teams.
  • Fluent German or English for daily collaboration.
  • Familiarity with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI or similar systems is an advantage.
  • Independent, reliable, and proactive approach to tasks.
  • Structured thinking and problem-solving ability.
