We're looking for someone to provide 2D & 3D CAD support to MAI Engineering department in support of Fugro operations. This role involves creating 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for our broad range of projects.
A typical day as a Design Draughtsman would involve draughting assignments include tooling equipment designs, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, machine part drawings, deck layouts, sea fastening designs, storyboards, rigging drawings, schematics etc where you will be required to prepare models & drawings and check others work for accuracy and completeness.
Production of all required manufacturing and fabrication drawings (e.g. assemblies, weldments, machine details, hydraulic schematics).
Production of various project drawings such as deck layouts, seafastening, vessel set-up and storyboards, rigging
Check all drawings produced to ensure accuracy and suitability for purpose
Production of 3D models and assist in the development of conceptual designs.
Be available to check drawings produced by others to ensure accuracy and suitability for purpose
Where required undertake measurement surveys of equipment/worksites to ensure dimensional accuracy
To ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company Management System and project specific documentation
Ensure any design draughting work is performed in line with drawing and engineering part database requirements (i.e. RevZone)
Ensure compliance with departmental engineering and draughting procedure
We're interested in speaking with those who have a good level of working 2D & 3D CAD draughting experience, ideally a qualification in a related Engineering or Technical discipline (although this isn't essential).
